This study aims to analyze the influence of workload on employee performance with job stress as a mediating variable at CV. ABC in Samarinda City. The research focuses on high job demands that potentially increase stress and decrease employee performance. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was employed. The sample consisted of 40 employees selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using Likert scale questionnaires, which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using linear regression, path analysis, and the Sobel test via SPSS software. The results indicate that workload has a significant effect on both job stress and employee performance. Job stress also significantly affects employee performance and is proven to mediate the relationship between workload and employee performance. The study concludes that managing workload and controlling job stress are critical factors in enhancing employee performance. These findings provide empirical contributions to human resource management development and offer practical implications for formulating more effective workplace policies.
